BAT RIBs is Italy's oldest RIB manufacturer, manufactured solely by hand in Cologno Monzese in 1960.
It started its operations as a shipyard producing rigid hulled inflatable boats (R.I.B.) and became a legendary brand in the field of performance RIBs that can be equipped with high-standard, high-power machines.
The sportsman spirit that has given life to the models produced by the BAT shipyard since the first day has provided BAT not only with winning the Italian Championship but also with its original racing hull designs that inspire racing catamarans, with an invincible reputation as the owner of records that have still not been broken to this day.
Developing its own unique designs, BAT has been pioneering many innovations in its field since the past.
The rectangular design used by BAT for the first time creates more usable space on the deck. It is produced with carbon kevlar, steel, and GRP, boasting the features and durability of racing boats.
Lightweight and with a genuine deep "V" body, it maintains an extremely elegant style that distinguishes it from many other brands, positioning it as a design icon that other RIB manufacturers look up to.
Today, 49 years later, BAT s.r.l. has not mechanized its production, without compromising the sports spirit and tradition it has adhered to from the beginning. On the contrary, it continues to prioritize high-quality workmanship, style, and special attention to detail. The R.I.B models it designs are made to order, limited to ninety or one hundred pieces per year. Despite the large demand, the production process remains entirely manual, reflecting 49 years of R&D experience and knowledge, while maintaining consistently high standards with premium materials.
Most recently, they have applied their patented TOP SYSTEM SURFACE DRIVE technology to 275 – 350 HP inboard, VW Turbo diesel twin machines in their BAT RIB. This has resulted in the achievement of even higher top speed levels. Thanks to this technology, they have managed to attain high performance levels with smaller and lighter turbo diesel engines, reducing fuel consumption and increasing both the total range and efficiency. It is undeniable that many more RIB brands will adopt this technology for their high-performance models in the near future. With the advancement of technology, sea navigation has become more manageable, turning daily entertainment cruises, which were once short shore excursions, into coastal and offshore cruises and travel holidays that prioritize safety, comfort, and performance.
Apart from coastal cruising models, BAT RIBs are available in all "Off-Shore" models ranging from 7.45 meters up to 12 meters, equipped with either 3x 300 HP outboard engines or 2x 750 HP inboard engines. They are designed to withstand up to 8 magnitudes and certified for wave heights of up to 100 meters, offering a two-year factory warranty and ensuring high safety standards for long-distance cruising and offshore enthusiasts.
